From October 1989 to October 1993 the institute was successfully conducted 40 training programmes which were well recognised in the construction fraternity. Then after the predecessors, likeminded and dedicated professionals have decided to make the institute more effectual and self driven for empowering India’s construction workforce.

During the year 1993 in the December month, it was registered as REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH (RICMAR). The institute has been shifted to UVCE Alumni Association care of Indian Concrete Institute Bangalore. The institute was registered as Trust under Societies Registration Act 1960.

After two years it was again repositioned by renting at Malleshwaram. The institute has productively conducted 250 training programmes under the Logo of REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH (RICMAR).

With the aim of promoting education, training , skill formation at grass root level to middle level managers in the construction trades and management the institute has passed resolution and renamed the institution as INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING OF CONSTRUCTION TRADES AND MANAGEMENT (INSTRUCT) in February 1997.

In December 1997, the institute was shifted to UVCE Alumni Association Building, K.R Circle Bangalore by Lease Agreement for 10years. UVCE AA permitted the institute to construct 1400sqft area for Office space at first floor.

During the year 2004, the institute amendments were approved by forming Memorandum of Association in the name Byelaw of INSTRUCT.
